Step guide on how to pay the ULEZ charge
If you’re driving through central London, you may need to pay the ULEZ charge, if your vehicle is not compliant. Use our ULEZ Checker to check if you vehicle is exempt.
Step 1.
Visit the Transport for London (TfL) website and register your London Road User Charging (LRUC) account. For this you will need your vehicle registration number. You can also use this account to pay the London Congestion Charge.
Once you’ve registered and verified your account. You will be given a unique “Customer ID”. You will need to save this, as you will need it to login along with your password.

ULEZ Zone Times
The ULEZ Charging scheme operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including Bank Holidays.
As the scheme is 24 hours, it is active Midnight to Midnight. So if you enter at 11:55pm and remain in the zone past midnight, you will need to pay for 2 days.
